Atchison, Topeka, & Santa Fe Railway
The AT&SF entered the Texas Panhandle as the Southern Kansas of Texas Railroad in 1888. Over the next 50 years, the "Santa Fe" became the largest system on the Texas plains. In 1995 the Santa Fe merged with Burlington Northern to form Burlington Northern Santa Fe.
